Last summer I went up to Lincolnshire for a branded headshots photoshoot with Helen. I love personal branding photoshoot, or as I often refer to them as headshots with a twist.

Dealing with Nerves

Helen was a little nervous to get in front of the camera for the fear of not liking her headshots & coming across awkward. The last time she'd had any professional photos taken was her wedding. So we had a lovely planning call to discuss the shoot, what she was thinking of wearing & ways to calm the nerves.

To make her look and feel the part, she'd got her hair & make-up done professionally. I suggest considering having professional hair & make-up done for all my personal branding clients. It’s a really lovely way to relax before the photoshoot and be pampered too. And it's a great way to get a boost of confidence.

Helen runs a successful online business making and selling bespoke lambskin pram liners, rugs, footmuffs and cutesy booties. The products are beautiful and made with such love and care.

The Shoot

The headshots photoshoot started in her home to show her natural surroundings and where she works. For the second part of the headshot photoshoot & to really show her personality, we took a walk in the village. It was so lovely getting to know Helen better, at the end of the shoot I felt like I’d made a new friend! We spoke about life as a busy working mum and how we strive to get a work/life balance while also trying to run a business.

The Results

Considering she was so nervous, the shots came out really well - she looks so happy and confident don't you think?
